Zannablù: a not-serious series.
Ok, it's a wild boar. So what?
Ok, he lives in a world populated by pigs. So what?
Ok, he stars in a crazy comic book. So what? Huh?
I see, you wanna know more. Very well, then, take a seat. It's going to be a long story.
So, the meaning of the name “Zannablù” is “Bluetusk”, in case you give a damn about it.
He is the main character of a series of comic books that are published not far from the tower of Pisa (do you know it? That’s right: the leaning one).
The first time Zannablù has been brought to the world was in the year 2000: small book, small press. Anyway, people were so insane that somehow they liked it. So its authors were so insane that they’ve continued their journey across the adventures of their crazy wild boar.
Zannablù has changed a little bit, as well as the style of drawing and writing, while the readers became more and more.
In 2003 Zannablù faced for the first time a challenging tusk (ha ha!! Sorry. Couldn’t resist). A challenging task: to become the main character of a parody. Enter "The Lord of the Pigs" (can you guess what gave us the idea for the story?): Bluetusk's readers went ballistic and began quoting almost everywhere the crazy lines of that comic book.
Well... that was great, or at least Dentiblù thought so.
Therefore, 2004 was the year of "Harry Porker", 2005 saw "Star Porks" being published and in 2006 "Kill Pig" came out.
Well, Zannablù also starred in some non-parody stories, which were also appreciated.
Reaching some thousands of readers is not an easy tusk (ha ha. Couldn’t resist some more)... task for the Italian small comic book press… but Zannablù somehow managed to make it.
And this “small press” is growing less and less small...
So, why not traveling a few miles and see what Zannablù can do around the galaxy?
